Free Safety Training
As part of its social commitment towards community welfare and workforce protection, CISM Academy & Business School (CABS), Kochi conducts Free Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Training Programmes for unorganised working groups across society to minimise workplace risks and prevent occupational hazards.These outreach training initiatives are specially designed
for daily wage workers, construction labourers, street vendors, sanitation workers, drivers, helpers, and other informal sector personnel who often lack access to structured safety education. The programmes focus on creating awareness about workplace hazards, safe work practices, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), fire safety, electrical safety, manual handling, and
basic emergency response measures.Delivered through workshops, field demonstrations, and awareness camps in association with national skill development initiatives of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), these training sessions aim to build a safety-first culture at the grassroots level.By empowering unorganised workers in Kochi and various parts of the
country with essential safety knowledge and practical skills, CISM strives to reduce accidents, enhance productivity, and promote safer working environments within the informal workforce.
